As a Phlebotomy Technician, you will be trained to draw blood samples from patients in a clinical laboratory or public health setting, producing quality results while gaining the trust and confidence of your patients. Topics covered include anatomy of the circulator system, medical terminology, quality assurance, HIPAA, and infection control. Receive hands-on training in venipuncture, capillary draws, heel sticks, and non-blood specimens. Program includes 40-hour externship in a local clinical laboratory, CPR certification, and NHA certification exam. Textbook purchased separately.
