Medical Front Office Assistant
Medical Front Office Assistants are key members of the healthcare team.
In general, they are the patients’ first contact upon entering the medical office or clinic, and they play a valuable role in providing a positive experience for the patient. The duties of the Medical Front Office Assistant include greeting patients, scheduling appointments, entering demographic and insurance information into the practices’ electronic health records software, answering phones, assigning medical codes, processing insurance, and patient check-in and check-out.
